Upper Dipterocarp forests are found in the higher hills that range from 800 to 1,200 meters in altitude. The forests are so named because of the variety of Dipterocarp species found here, including Bintangor (Calophyllum spp.), Damar Minyak (Agathis borneensis), Meranti Bukit (Shorea platyclados), Keruing Bukit (Dipterocarpus costatus and D. retsus) and Rengas (Gluta spp.).
